Family Child Care (FCC)

RCN's Family Child Care Program primarily supports home-based child care providers who serve children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Our satellite office has a network of over 200 in-home providers, who serve up to 2,000 children. The caregivers participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), ensuring that the children are served well-balanced meals. The licensed and registered homes affiliated with our office, are regulated by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and receive their required training along with technical support from our highly skilled staff. Our course work complies with the 30 hours required by OCFS.

CACFP – Child and Adult Care Food Program

Do you do Child Care in your home? If so, would you like to be reimbursed for those nutritious meals you serve to the children in your care? Call and ask for our CACFP Coordinator at 585-461-3598, and she will come to your home, and show you how to do the required daily paperwork.

Training Program

We offer a variety of educational opportunities for in-home child care providers, and center child care staff. A 15-hour Health and Safety competency training is offered, specifically for people who are becoming licensed or registered providers. We offer monthly programs for existing providers including the State University of New York satellite teleconferences. We offer a wide variety of training, including Health and Safety for center staff. Our goal is to offer guidance, networking opportunities, and technical support services to Family Child Care and center caregivers alike.
