Marsha Dumka, Executive Director
Marsha Dumka has been Executive Director at Rochester Childfirst Network (RCN) since 2002. She has 30 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, Preschool Teacher and Early Care and Education Administrator. She has a Bachelor's in Social Work, and a Master's degree and Teaching Certification in Elementary and Special Education. Marsha is committed to all children having access to high quality educational services, and devotes much time as a community volunteer/advocate for children. She came to RCN in 1994 as Director of the Special Education program that serves children birth to age 5. A Rochester native, Marsha has lived in various locations in both the US and Asia. She is married with two grown children, and two grandchildren. She was drawn to RCN because of its unique urban setting, where indoor curriculum overflows to the beautiful outdoor campus of 4+ acres, and its historic neighborhood rich in history and diversity. She oversees all aspects of the agency’s $4M budget including serving over 2,500 children and families throughout the Greater Rochester Community.
Lynn Lubecki, Director of Children's Programs
Lynn Lubecki received her MS Ed. from Nazareth College’s Early Childhood Education program. This not only fueled her belief that quality early education and care is the foundation for a lifetime of success; it also strengthened her passion for inclusivity and working with children with special needs. Lynn began her career in family childcare and loves being the mom of John (21) and Angela (19). For over 18 years, Lynn has been dedicated to the developmental growth of children. Each day Lynn is rewarded by witnessing the achievements of the children. Her enthusiasm and interactions with the students and their families contributes to the warm, caring and diverse community at RCN.
Patti Milburn, Director of Operations
Patti has been with Rochester Childfirst Network since 1995. Patti has her degree from St. Bonaventure University in Elementary Education and came to RCN shortly after her graduation from college. All aspects of the student enrollment process are handled by Patti. In her daily responsibilities she oversees the main office staff, kitchen staff and maintenance staff for the facility. RCN has a group of trained health advocates who are responsible for the care of sick and injured children as well as medication administration; Patti is the Head Health Advocate. Patti lives in Spencerport with her husband, Michael and their four children, Mike, Carlyn, Kyle and Cory.
Nancy Consol, Director of Special Education (the SMILE Program)
Nancy Consol is the Director of Special Education at RCN. She has been active in the Rochester area as an Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education Teacher and Evaluator for two decades. Nancy has a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Syracuse University and a Master's degree from University of Connecticut in Special Education and C.A.S. in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport. Growing up with an older sister who had developmental disabilities, Nancy knows the value of inclusive communities. She feels right at home as a member of the broad, inclusive family at RCN. Nancy serves on the Board of the Flower City Down Syndrome Network and is a Team Coordinator of RochesterCares volunteer organization. She is married and has 3 wonderful adult children.
Dorthea E. King-Simpson, Director of Family Child Care
Dorthea joined the RCN family in December 2004, and currently serves as the Director of Family Child Care. Dorthea comes to RCN from Utica, NY where she was raised and educated. Dorthea has worked in the service field since 1989 working as a Teacher's Assistant, Caseworker, Supervisor, and Center Director in Utica NY. Dorthea has a love for community, and has offered her service to organizations like Rotary, NAACP, Resource For Independent living and The A.M.E. Zion Church. She has a Bachelor's in Psychology from SUNY Utica/Rome NY, and a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Medaille College, Buffalo NY. Dorthea believes in faith & family, and friends & fellowship. She is a resilient teen-age parent, mother of two wonderful sons, named Doneilous and Dante', a grandmother, and the wife of Samuel Simpson.
Lou Martino, Director of Finance
Lou joined RCN as the Director of Finance in 2007. The father of two school-age boys and husband to a teacher, Lou enjoys the family atmosphere at RCN. Raised in Honeoye, Lou earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Computer Science at Elmira College, and obtained his CPA license in 1992. Lou's work history includes not-for-profit business experience, real estate management accounting, and public accounting experience with the Cortland L. Brovitz & Co. CPA firm. Lou oversees the daily business and human resource functions of the center.
Paul Berezney, Director of Development
Paul Berezney has been with RCN since April 2010. He is passionate about how quality early care and education can positively affect students, their lives, and ultimately their families and community. As a father, he noticed that the teaching staff at RCN runs rings around his parenting skills, and hopes someday to learn their secret formula. Paul received his Executive MBA in 2001 from RIT. He transferred his experiences to the non-profit sector and never looked back, working for health, education, and human service organizations. Paul relies on his faith and believes in community service, contributing to several local organizations.
Diana Webb, Coordinator for Family Child Care Satellites of Greater Rochester
Diana Webb, has been in the field of Early Care and Education for over 30 years, she represents RCN on inter-agency projects whose goals are to increase the quality of care offered in nearly 900 licensed and registered family child care homes. Diana offers one-on-one in-home training and presents a series of workshops towards accreditation through the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) and the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
Diana and Bill, her husband, of 41 years have two adult children and 2 grandchildren. Diana is a current lecturer and workshop presenter at local, state and national conferences.
