Ann Marie Stephan
Executive Director
Joined RCN in May 2019 after having served as the Director of Special Children’s Services for 10 years at Monroe County’s Department of Public Health. Prior to returning to Rochester in 2009, Ann Marie worked in Boston, MA as a developmental educator and service coordinator at several nonprofit early intervention programs. She also worked at the Chestnut Children’s Center as an Infant Lead Teacher and at Boston Children’s Museum as a Family Learning Program Manager. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Providence College and her Master’s of Science in Early Intervention at Wheelock College in Boston.

Shelly Kordish
Special Education Coordinator
Joined the leadership team in April 2019 as the Special Education Coordinator, bringing over 25 years of experience in teaching, coaching, advocacy, and educational administration. She graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in Special Education & received her master's from the University of Colorado at Denver in Educational Leadership. Shelly is responsible for the oversight of the SMILE Program (Successful Milestones in Learning Environments) and special education services for children at RCN’s two locations as well as Itinerant Services in the community. She values that a happy child is a successful one & values RCN’s commitment to providing a positive, safe, and stimulating environment for children to learn, where ALL are valued. Shelly lives in Hilton with her son Jackson, and her black lab named Vader. Shelly & Jackson are both huge Star Wars fans and have attended Star Wars conventions in California, Orlando, and Chicago.

Meredith Moore
Director of Children’s Programs
In 2018, Meredith joined RCN as a certified teacher, quickly advancing to Director of Children’s Programs the following year. Meredith oversees the daily programming of RCN’s Universal Pre-K 3s and 4s program, along with the infant, toddler, and school-age child care classrooms. Meredith has been volunteering & working in the education field since she was a young teenager including over 20 years’ experience as a special educator, staff mentor, department chairperson, and Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) school-based trainer in the Washington, D.C. area. Since relocating to Rochester in 2013, she worked at the Wolk Children’s Center & for the Rush Henrietta School District before finding her way to RCN where her passion for ensuring every child’s success & social-emotional development guides her daily practices and interactions with children. Meredith is well known in each classroom & enjoys her daily visits and opportunities to share her love of reading and conversation with the children of RCN.

Jeff Hoffman
Director of Development
Joined RCN in July 2015 to oversee its fundraising & marketing efforts. His work focuses on the $1.2M Celebrating Kids, Changing Lives capital campaign, along with the Annual Children’s Fund and special events including the Mad Hatter Tea Party. Jeff also directs RCN marketing outreach including publications, social media, the website, and traditional media outlets. During his 25 years in the not-for-profit arena, Jeff has advocated for education on all levels, from Pre-K to doctoral programs. He has employed his donor-centered philosophy as the executive director of the Finger Lakes and Cayuga Community colleges’ foundations, and as a nonprofit consultant. Jeff most enjoys learning from the people who have made RCN a leading voice for children in Greater Rochester: donors, community leaders, parents, current and former “RCN kids,” teachers & staff (both past and present), and all those who have dedicated their lives to the children under RCN’s care.

Kashina Amons
Program Director, RCN Center City
Kashina oversees programming at RCN’s Center City location. She has over 13 years of experience in childcare, caring for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. In 2010, she attended Childcare Council where she obtained her Child Development Associate (CDA). In 2014, she received her AAS degree in liberal studies and is currently in school to get her bachelor’s degree.

Jonathan Huyck
Director of Facilities & Purchasing
With RCN since May 2020, Jonathan is responsible for keeping everyone at RCN safe and comfortable in our wonderful surroundings, both inside and out. As well as general maintenance of the buildings and grounds, Jonathan has been a key member of the facilities team that has recently helped transform our beautiful School Age outdoor playground. Jonathan believes that a safe, healthy, organized environment is a foundation for success for an organization and everyone who works there. Jonathan is a U.S. Army veteran, and brings his experience as former Maintenance Supervisor at Rochester Precision Optics.

Maureen McIntosh
Human Resources Specialist
Joined RCN in September 2019. One of her favorite quotes is, “Treat a child as though he already is the person he’s capable of becoming.” She is so grateful that at RCN she is able to combine her passion for helping employees with playing a positive role in children’s lives. Maureen transitioned into Human Resources after 23 years as a television director at 13WHAM-TV. She is also an adjunct communications professor at Monroe Community College. Maureen immigrated to the United States as a child because her parents wanted better educational opportunities for her. She passed that aspiration to her three boys who have been fortunate to have an excellent education. When she is not helping employees, Maureen enjoys being physically active, including skiing, running, and sailing.

Michelle Zucaro
Director of Finance
Joined RCN in 2018 and is responsible for the management of the financial, administrative, and human resource operations of the agency. With previous experience as Manager of Financial Reporting at Manning & Napier, Michelle keeps the agency financially healthy by finding ways to mitigate financial risk & maintain the financial, administrative, and human resource integrity of the agency. The best part of Michelle’s day is seeing happy kids throughout the school. True to RCN’s family environment even administrators have opportunities to interact with the kids and get to know names & personalities. What a treat!

Ivelisse Marrero
Director of Family Childcare, CACFP and Satellites of Greater Rochester (SGR)
Joined RCN in early 2018 with 6+ years of working with children. She interfaces with RCN’s in-home childcare providers, overseeing the federal reimbursement program for nutritious meals and snacks, available to eligible children enrolled in their care. Ivelisse enjoys providing quality customer service to over 120 daycare homes and the 1,500 children they care for. As a bilingual professional, she is able to reach a sometimes underserved part of the community. In her spare time, Ivelisse spends quality time with her boys, JJ, Jaden, and Jahdiel. She also enjoys volunteering at her local church, deepening her relationships with the community.
