The Ready for Kindergarten Workshop is a free educational event for parents and caregivers preparing a child to begin kindergarten. The workshop will introduce practical strategies families can use to build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits before the first day of school.

Early childhood educators will discuss important skills such as following routines, communicating needs, recognizing letters and numbers, sharing with classmates, and completing simple tasks independently. Families will also receive activity ideas that can be easily incorporated into playtime, mealtimes, and daily routines.

Children are welcome to attend and participate in supervised learning activities while parents take part in the workshop. Each family will leave with a kindergarten readiness guide, take-home activities, and information about childcare and family support programs available throughout Rochester.
